Haunting, glamorous, and emotionally raw, Megan Summersby is a British alternative pop artist crafting sonic worlds where darkness meets beauty. Weaving cinematic soundscapes with vulnerable storytelling, she fuses alt-pop, R&B, and indie rock into a style that is unmistakably her own — enchanting yet fierce, delicate yet defiant.

Born and raised in the seaside town of Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, Megan began performing early. At just 14 years old, she started uploading song covers and original material to YouTube, planting the seeds for what would become a deeply personal artistic journey. By 17, she was performing at open mics and local competitions across Essex, honing her stage presence and finding her voice in front of live audiences.

Influenced by powerhouses like Lana Del Rey, Rihanna, The Weeknd, etc. Megan merges old nostalgia with contemporary edge. Her music explores themes of trauma, healing, womanhood, mental health, and rage.

In 2021, Megan independently released her debut EP, The Irony of Loneliness, under the name Myla Vie. It was a melancholic and introspective project created in lockdown that showcased her early talent for raw songwriting and home-grown production. Since then, she has continued to push boundaries with singles like "Bad Mood" and "Medusa".
Since 2020 she has earnt 5 stars from the UK Songwriting Contest, BBC Introducing airplay, and thousands of TikTok views for fierce yet vulnerable messages on injustice and female empowerment.

Entirely self-taught in music production, Megan writes, records, and produces much of her work — a testament to her independent spirit and relentless dedication. Her new music promises an immersive listening experience rooted in personal reckoning, otherworldly aesthetics, and the power of voice — both literally and metaphorically.

Whether she’s belting over a brooding beat or whispering confessions over a minimal piano track, Megan brings a rare mystical authenticity and a melancholy cinematic vision to everything she creates.
